This Eagle Panel is hand-carved in yellow cedar by Kwakiutl artist Trevor Hunt. It has been painted in turquoise, red, and black acrylic and features one onlay of copper, 1 inlays of abalone, and 13 inlays of mother-of-pearl.
The Eagle Symbol is known as “The master of skies” and is a symbol of great significance. He is believed to be the creature with the closest relationship with the creator. Soaring to great heights, he can travel between the physical and the spiritual world. He is said to be a messenger to the creator.

The panel is about 23 1/2 inches or 59 1/2 centimeters in diameter and about 1 5/8 inches or about 4 1/4 centimeters thick.
